“Playing what’s in front”: In-form Warriors half Te Maire Martin praises work of Aussie utility

In-form New Zealand Warriors half Te Maire Martin has praised the work of veteran Australian utility Dylan Walker.

Walker, a former expert centre at the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Manly, has found a new home in the middle of the field, causing headaches for opposing defensive units.

“A lot of the plays sometimes I’m calling them as he’s [Walker] catching it and we’re just playing what’s in front,” Martin told Newstalk ZB’s Big League podcast.

”Walks is really good at being able to change something on the run [and] his organising with the middles and leg speed around the middle.”

The Warriors travel to Accor Stadium this Saturday for a clash with Canterbury-Bankstown.
