Recently sacked South Sydney Rabbitohs head coach Jason Demetriou has revealed he is out of the running for the Parramatta job.

Demetriou told Triple M Sydney that he had recently interviewed for the gig but had been told he had missed out.

According to reports from News Corp, rugby union coach Michael Cheika has also missed out.
