Superstar Latrell Mitchell already had one eye on the Game III State of Origin decider at Suncorp Stadium just minutes after New South Wales destroyed Queensland 38-18 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The Blues centre was among the state’s best and was strong defensively while also setting up a try for teammate Zac Lomax.
“I’m honestly not making it about myself,” Mitchell told Channel Nine’s Paul Gallen.
“It’s about the people who showed up today.
“It’s about everyone here in blue jerseys and shirts. Our families showing up, New South Wales showing up.
“It is a neutral ground for us to come to [MCG], but we have a job to do and there’s another [match] to go.
“I’m very proud of the boys, our week was very special and it was very good to come into camp… I loved it.”
