Melbourne Storm chairman Matt Tripp has scoffed at reports Craig Bellamy will continue his career at the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
It is being suggested Rabbitohs coach Jason Demetriou has just this weekend to save his job with his side desperate to upset the Sharks at Accor Stadium on Saturday night.
The Storm chair was to the point in his response.
“Good luck,” Tripp told News Corp.
“I can’t begrudge them because I would want the best coach if I was in their position. I feel for them but it doesn’t mean we’re going to give him up. They can do what they like.
“We can’t stop them. To my mind he has a contract and knowing Craig the way I know Craig, he will honour that contract.
“I hope he keeps coaching (at the Storm).”
