Warriors legend Greg Alexander has called on coach Andrew Webster to switch superstar Roger Tuivasa-Sheck back to fullback on a permanent basis.
Rookie Taine Tuaupiki will miss the clash with Newcastle due to concussion with RTS moving back to the number 1 role for the first time since re-joining the NRL from Super Rugby.
With Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad still to come back from injury, Alexander insisted the side was better off with Tuivasa-Sheck in the custodian role.
“He is your number one fullback,” Alexander told SENZ Mornings.
“Charnzel still has to come back, I’d be playing Charnze in the centres and Roger at fullback.
“Roger’s ready to play fullback.
“The Warriors’ performances haven’t been bad. It took a miracle to beat the Warriors in Melbourne, the Storm came up with a couple of tries that just shouldn’t have happened.
“I guess the only critical part when you’re looking at the Warriors’ first two performances is can they score when they really need to?
“That was highlighted in Round 1 when they had a fair bit of ball against the Sharks at home, and couldn’t get it done.”
The Warriors host the Knights on Sunday afternoon at Mount Smart Stadium.
