The new-look Gold Coast Titans will start the season as a dark horse to make the finals at season’s end and one of the most interesting storylines for the Titans in 2024 is if AJ Brimson can successfully make the switch to the flanks instead of his more preferred fullback and five-eighth positions.

Speaking to the Zero Tackle website, Brimson said another Queensland State of Origin jersey was driving him this season.

“Yeah, I love it [playing for the Maroons],” he said.

“It’s something that I aspire to do every year.

“Growing up a proud Queenslander, I never really thought I’d be able to play in the NRL, let alone Origin.

“To put it on a handful of times, I feel pretty lucky.

“In a perfect world, I get to put it on three times this year.”
