Former Wests Tigers flyer David Nofoaluma has landed several parting shots on his former teammate and current Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall and the club after Nofoaluma was axed by management.
Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald, on his way to Salford Red Devils in England, Nofoaluma pointed fingers at those within the club for “leaking” to the media before his departure.
“It hurts me personally,” the Samoan International said.
“A lot of times, people don’t realise we’re humans before athletes. Instead of dealing with it on a personal level, there’s no need to go to the press.
“I don’t think it’s a nice thing to do.
“It shows what type of club you are.
“I don’t have to deal with that anymore, which is a good thing.”
The Campbelltown junior played 192 games for Wests Tigers and scored 100 tries.
