Manly-Warringah’s injured superstar Tom Trbojevic is back in hospital after suffering an infection in post-surgery getting his torn pectoral muscle repaired.

Trbojevic came from the field early in State of Origin Game II after falling on his side.

It has been a forgettable season for the Australian representative, dealing with ongoing injuries and only recently returning to form.

The Sea Eagles currently sit 11th with an 7-1-8 record and play the Cowboys in round 20.
