Former Warriors cult hero David Fusitu’a has been left “scratching his head” amid reports he was unhappy at the Leeds Rhinos and wanted to return to the NRL.

Whispers began last week that the winger was headed back to the southern hemisphere but has since told The Yorkshire Evening Post that wasn’t the case.

“Whenever I’ve talked to family and friends and people here at the club all I’ve said is good things because it’s true,” he said.

Wests Tigers fans should be demanding re-signing of Adam Doueihi instead of talk of Luke Brooks and Mitch Moses reunion

“I’m good, just recovering from being sick last weekend.”

The 28-year-old Tongan and Kiwi International scored 61 tries for the Warriors from 108 matches.
