Former Wests Tigers winger and media convert Joel Caine has tipped Cronulla to make it all the way to this year’s grand final.
Speaking on SEN, Caine believes the Sharks have enough momentum and stars across the park to threaten for the title.
“Sharks (will make the grand final),” he said.
“Huge surprise packet. If they can keep (Matt) Moylan fit all year. Sky is the limit. All ships rise with the tide and the tide is coming in with (Craig) Fitzgibbon, (Cameron) McInnes, (Nicho) Hynes, (Dale) Finucane etc.”
Meanwhile, former Australian and Blues enforcer Paul Gallen has backed Wests Tigers to claim their maiden wooden spoon.
“I like Madge, I love him as a bloke, but I think the talk there’s been previously and the fact I don’t think they will go any good this year, I think he’s probably under the most pressure,” Gallen told Wide World of Sports Radio.
