South Sydney Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds will most likely miss the side’s final round ‘dead rubber’ game against St George Illawarra as he rests his knee ahead of the finals series.
The Rabbitohs are guaranteed a top four finish and it is expected Reynolds will be put on ice.
“I just sort of hyper-extended it there… I felt a little something at the back,” Reynolds said.
“They weren’t too concerned about it. I went out after half-time just in case anything happened or we needed to go back on the field. They sort of came back into the game and we thought it would be a good idea to get me back out there.
“My foot sort of slid in the ground then just stopped and my body kept going. It’s probably more of a scare than anything else. It’s a little tender today but I got through training… it’s feeling all OK.”
Souths play the Dragons on Saturday night with rookie Blake Taaffe set to be named as Latrell Mitchell’s replacement at fullback.
