Karmichael Hunt hasn’t played in the NRL since 2009 – in a Brisbane Broncos team he featured in alongside Darren Lockyer, Justin Hodges and Israel Folau.

But the code-hopping 34-year-old believes he can still make in the NRL and is hoping for a start in the `batting Broncos alongside recent QLD Cup teammate Tom Deardon.

“Absolutely, no doubt whatsoever – I definitely feel I’ve got plenty of impact left in me, that’s for sure,” Hunt told Fox Sports.

“I’d prefer to play in the halves, at six and get my hands on the ball. I understand it’s what is best for team.

“I’d love to play six. I think it just suits my game. I can use my vision and creativity and passing skills and kicking.”
