Adam Reynolds is close to signing with the Cronulla Sharks which would see him leave Redfern for the first time in his career.

According to Fox Sports, the kicking machine has met with incoming Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon with a $2.4 million deal over the next four seasons.

The Sharks, if Reynolds does join, will become an immediate top four contender with the halfback saddling up alongside the likes of Shaun Johnson, Blayke Brailey and flying youngster Will Kennedy.

Souths are yet to offer Reynolds a longer term deal as they juggle the futures of several rookies coming through the lower grades at the Rabbitohs.
