Former Australian fullback Gary Belcher is expecting a giant season from South Sydney custodian Latrell Mitchell after a slick performance last week in the Charity Shield against St George Illawarra.

“I can’t wait to watch Latrell Mitchell this year,” Belcher said on SEN.

“The way that he played last week, even though he’s not at full fitness, you know in four, five, six weeks he’ll be red-lining.

“He’s the one player in the league I’m most looking forward to watching.”

Meanwhile Brisbane Broncos legend Steve Renouf believes his former club will play finals footy in 2021. Speaking to NRL.com, Renouf tipped the Panthers to go one better in the grand final.

“Brisbane will learn a lot from their trial loss to the Cowboys and will be finishing off teams at the back end of games sooner rather than later,” Renouf said.
