The A-League’s newest franchise, Macarthur FC and the NRL’s most successful club South Sydney Rabbitohs have announced a historic partnership which will see the clubs “promoting their respective codes in south-western Sydney”.

South Sydney have long had their eye on the area which is historically Wests Tigers territory who play a handful of games at Campbelltown Stadium.

In statements released on Friday, the organisations “have established a number of community and commercial partnerships across all areas of the clubs that will have benefits across the board.”

“We have around 10,000 Members in western Sydney and the support for our Club in south-western Sydney is overwhelming,” Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly said.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is headed to the All Blacks? Good on him! We should all be wishing him luck

“We expect Camden to triple in size by 2036 and Campbelltown is set to grow by more than 40 percent, so we see a great number of Rabbitohs Members and fans living in the area as part of that population growth.”

Incredibly, you can now purchase Rabbitohs merchandise from Macarthur FC’s new store at Macarthur Square while members of each club will receive reciprocal access to rival games.
