Former Wests Tigers and Penrith Panthers dummy half Masada Iosefa has tragically died at the age of 32 – a day before his birthday – suffering fatal injuries while quad-biking in the Northern Territory.

The hooker also represented Samoa at International level.

The NT Police issued a statement saying:

“Major Crash detectives attended to investigate the single vehicle crash scene just after 9pm. Initial investigations indicate the man has failed to negotiate a bend, colliding with a guard rail and rolled the bike. The rider was not wearing a helmet.

“Police will now prepare a report for the Coroner.”
