Canberra’s Tom Starling arrested after Central Coast pub brawl

Canberra Raiders youngster Tom Starling spent Saturday night behind bars after being arrested alongside three other men when a brawl erupted at a Central Coast pub.

Starling has been charged with five counts of assaulting police.

“The Canberra Raiders have been made aware of an incident involving Tom Starling overnight,” the club said in a statement said.

“The club has informed the NRL integrity unit.

“The club will not be making further comment.”

The incident occurred at the birthday of the brother of Newcastle’s Connor Watson.
