New South Wales assistant Greg Alexander says the Blues were ”brave” in Game III but simply gave themselves too much to do at the back end of the game.

Speaking on SEN, Alexander said Queensland’s Cameron Munster was “outstanding”.

“It’s very disappointing… Queensland played great… and we knew it was going to be a big challenge,” he said.

“The player that they missed in Game II, Cameron Munster.

“I thought he was just outstanding.

“We probably gave them too big a start but I thought our blokes were brave.

“They probably did too much defending through the middle part of the second half, and that’s what’s cost us.”
