Premiership-winning Melbourne Storm halfback Brett Kimmorley is backing his former side to win the 2020 premiership and fellow club legend Cameron Smith to bow out on the back of a Clive Churchill Medal.

“I think Melbourne will win the premiership this year and Cameron Smith … I will put him as the Clive Churchill Medalist,” Kimmorley said.

“I think that could be the fairytale for him to go out – I think he’s the best player I’ve ever seen.
“Not too often there are fairytales but Cameron Smith might have one.”
Smith is yet to make a decision on his future and has been heavily linked with both the Brisbane Broncos and the Gold Coast Titans.
