Former Cronulla Sharks player Paul Fisher has lost his battle with Motor Neurone Disease, leaving behind wife Narelle and his two sons.

The Queenslander was just 49.

Many former Sharks players came together in 2018, including Andrew Ettingshausen, Gavin Miller and David Peachey, at Taren Point Bowling Club to raise funds for Paul and his family.

Fisher was diagnosed with MND in 2016.
