The NSW Government has confirmed plans for the $810 million upgrade of ANZ Stadium releasing details on Wednesday afternoon.
Plans include a reduction of the stadium to 70,000 seats and to make the ground a permanent rectangular arena – a win for rugby league over the AFL.

Fans will also be happy to hear that seating in the lower bowl will rise giving the fan a few better viewing experience. Additional cover will also keep supporters at the northern and southern ends of the ground out of the rain.
