Bittersweet justice for Klem: Sims suspended and will miss State of Origin III

The New South Wales Blues will be without forward Tariq Sims for the deciding Game III of State of Origin next Wednesday after being found guilty by the NRL judiciary.

Sims was rubbed out for making dangerous contact on North QLD skipper Michael Morgan in St George Illawarra’s win over the weekend.

“It’s obviously not a great outcome for myself,” Sims said.

Only 16 jerseys remain: Round 3 voting open in King of the Jerseys!

“It’s an emotional time. I will just take time away now and be with my family and daughters.”

It’s bittersweet justice for David Klemmer who will come back into the side after being overlooked.

Klemmer broke his wrist for NSW in Game I in a strong outing and couldn’t be picked for Game II.

Earlier in the night, South Sydney prop was given a nine game hiatus after an ugly incident last Thursday where he gouged the eyeballs of Wests Tigers hooker Robbie Farah.
