Wests Tigers chair Marino Go has resigned after almost five years in the role.
According to NRL.com, Go walked amid ongoing frustration with the club being fined for their salary cap dealings with veteran Robbie Farah.
It’s understood Go will exit after the team’s round one clash against Manly at Leichhardt.
Go took a swipe at the NRL during an interview on NRL.com just last week.
“I love my club. But I have spent the past couple of months looking under the bonnet, or seeing up close, the governance of the game. I just feel if I was to leave, I would leave them to that.”
Opinions from Wests Tigers supporters are divided as to what kind of legacy she’ll leave at the club.
