Kangaroos great thinks Cronulla will do just enough to play finals football

Former Australian lock Corey Parker believes the Cronulla Sharks will do enough to play September footy despite conceding it may take superstar recruit Shaun Johnson to gel with his new teammates.

“They’ve got enough experience and enough old heads at the Sharks to be able to still be a force in the 2019 season,” Parker told Macquarie Sports Radio.

“I think Shaun Johnson – he’ll take a bit of time to fit in that role.

“It’ll certainly be a change, but expect the Sharks to be where you’d expect them to be.”

The Sharks begin their 2019 campaign on Friday evening in Newcastle against the Knights where Johnson will line up against Mitchell Pearce and Kalyn Ponga.
