Ever noticed how Americans just love calling their championship sides the ‘World Champions’? Bloody yanks! Right?

Well, as reported by The Mole on the Wide World of Sports website, the NRL has called the NFL out with three large billboards popping up in Atlanta – home of the Super Bowl clash between New England and Los Angeles.

The billboards claim 2018 NRL champs, Sydney Roosters are in fact, ‘World Champs’.

It’s ballsy from the NRL.

Bravo.

But if you really wanted to be pedantic, Melbourne Storm are technically still World Club Challenge holders.
