NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the Parramatta Eels will be playing out of the new Western Sydney Stadium in 2019 despite negotiations stalling between the Eels and VenuesLive who own the ground.

Eels CEO Bernie Gurr said the current offer to his club was “unacceptable”.

Parramatta have been playing at the site since their inception in 1947.

“We appreciate there’s always those nitty gritty negotiations, and we’re confident as a government we will get to a resolution,” Berejiklian said.

“We expect all parties to be robust in the way they manage interactions with each other but we also expect a very good resolution for the people of NSW.”

Fellow tennants Western Sydney Wanderers soccer club are also yet to agree to terms with VenuesLive.
