Canterbury has been hit with a bombshell by their Australian International prop David Klemmer who has asked for an immediate release to join Newcastle.

NRL.com is reporting Klemmer wants out of the final two years of his deal at Belmore due to personal issues.

It’s understood Klemmer is after a new start out of Sydney.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Newcastle has offered the big front rower a four year-deal.
