The Melbourne Storm have called a press conference for 1pm today to officially announce the retirement of their legendary fullback Billy Slater.

35-year-old Slater will be joined by Storm CEO Dave Donaghy and coach Craig Bellamy.

He has scored 187 tries over 313 NRL games.
