South Sydney’s State of Origin rake Damien Cook doesn’t want Robbie Farah to leave Redfern after it was confirmed Wests Tigers had approved Farah’s return.
All now rests on Souths coach Anthony Siebold releasing Farah as per an agreement between the two earlier in the year.
It’s widely understood Siebold told the veteran he would let Farah leave the Rabbitohs if he found another club.
“I don’t want to see him go. I enjoy having him at the club and in my corner, especially this year. He’s been very supportive and helpful,” Cook told AAP.
“If Robbie wants to go back there and finish his career, I support him in that.
“He’s had a great career and he deserves to finish the way he wants to. Whichever way it is, at South Sydney or if it is at the Tigers, then I wish him all the best.”
Wests Tigers are expected to announce his arrival – release permitting – in the next few days.
