Dumped New South Wales winger Blake Ferguson has admitted he was disappointed in not receiving a phone call from Blues coach Brad Fittler ahead of his axing.
Fittler selected Josh Addo-Carr and Tom Trbojevic on the wings for this Wednesday’s State of Origin opener at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
“No phone call mate,” Ferguson told Triple M.
“I’m pretty disappointed about that one.
“It’s the way it is and he chose to go another way.
“I wish them all the best and it’s very disappointing, I thought I’d been playing pretty good this year.”
Ferguson had a mixed bag afternoon on Sunday as his Sydney Roosters held on to beat a fast finishing Wests Tigers by two points at Allianz Stadium.
