We’re good: Cleary says Aaron Woods won’t be returning to Wests Tigers

Wests Tigers coach Ivan Cleary says there is little chance former skipper Aaron Woods will return to the club after it was revealed Canterbury are looking at selling him less than a year after joining the club.

Cleary also made it clear he had no issues with Woods.

“When I got here there was lots of things going on with players possibly leaving and Woodsy was one of those,” Cleary said after Wests Tigers defeated the Bulldogs 14-10.

“From the time he decided to go the Bulldogs, I thought he played really well.

“I really enjoyed his company and enjoyed what he added to the team.

“We’re pretty okay in that position (prop), but as a person and a player, of course (there’s no problem).”

Moses Mbye is set to join Wests from 2019 but it’s expected he will finish this season at Belmore.
