Western Suburbs Magpies General Manager Leo Epifania wants kids in the Macarthur region to play for Wests Tigers but says the Magpies can be the link for local juniors that may have been missing in the past.

“It was unfortunate the way we (Magpies) went out of the ISP in 2013 – it was a bit ugly,” he told the Macarthur Advertiser.

“But we’ve always felt we have done our best for the Macarthur area so to come back now with Victa on board as well is pretty special.”

“We are a heritage club but as kids grow up, Wests Tigers will be the dominant brand. We just want to be seen as providing a pathway for Macarthur players to the Wests Tigers.”
