It is official – The81stMinute can exclusively reveal that you can indeed buy happiness with the Sydney Roosters set to announce the signing of happiness on a five-year, multi-million dollar deal.

It’s understood that the challenge and the opportunity to play in a premiership-winning side were the overwhelming factors – money had nothing* to do with it.

The81stMinute believes a close relationship has been growing between happiness and Roosters chairman Nick Politis which started last week over a cup of coffee in Bondi. Since then, the friendship has flourished with happiness set to play a utility role at the Tricolours.

In a statement released by the club (and most definitely not written by one of the club’s digi guys), happiness said he was “excited by the challenge ahead”.

“The Roosters are a club going places and I felt it was the best time for me and my family to set new goals,” happiness said.

“Mr. Politis has been wonderful throughout this whole process and I am excited about working closely with the coach and the other players.

“I can’t wait to get to training and meet my new teammates and continue the wonderful tradition of this great foundation club.”

Coach Trent Robinson was adamant happiness could be an asset to his star-studded line-up.

“There’s no doubt happiness has some work to do but I’m sure he can adapt to our structures and our cultures and our rabble, rabble, rabble and blah, blah, blah.”

And in more news that will have rival fans spitting chips, The81stMinute can reveal that the Roosters are set to purchase Christmas, the Easter Bunny and FIFA.

More to come.
