Mitchell Pearce is set to sign a four-year worth $4 million deal at the Newcastle Knights with the news first reported by The Daily Telegraph.
The Knights have won out in the battle for Pearce’s signature when many thought a deal had already been done between the halfback and Manly.
Both the Sea Eagles and the Cronulla Sharks – another team that was in the hunt – simply couldn’t match the dollars the Knights had to play with.
Pearce joins former Roosters teammates Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Aidan Guerra and Connor Watson in the Hunter city.
