Rugby league bad boy Todd Carney is returning to Australia and will play for the Northern Pride in the Intrust Super Cup according to reports.

The 2010 Dally M Medal winner had been linked to Hull KR in the Super League but will instead join the Queensland club.

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart had been keen to see the playmaker return to the Raiders but that move was blocked by Canberra officials.
