The Parramatta Eels are close to signing former Canterbury winger Curtis Rona for the 2018 season to replace outgoing flyer Semi Radradra.

Rona switched to the Western Force Super Rugby club this year and recently made his Test debut for the Wallabies.

The announcement could come as early as next week.

Rona was under contract with the Force until the franchise was booted from a revamped Super Rugby model.
