Ken Thornett Medal winner Brown ready to tick another box with Finals Footy

Parramatta tyro Nathan Brown’s season just keeps on getting better with the forward claiming the Ken Thornett Medal at Rosehill Racecourse overnight.

It caps a remarkable switch for Brown who began his career at Wests Tigers. He then moved to South Sydney where he gained a reputation as a thug.

His move to the Eels has seen Brown transition into one of the game’s most dangerous middle third big men.

And now he is set to play in his first Finals series.

“This is the first Finals series that I am going to be a part of and I am looking forward to it.” Brown told the Eels website.

“As a player, this is where you want to be at this time of year so I know that everyone is looking forward to it and we can’t wait.”

The Eels finish the season with a clash against Brown’s former club Souths before the playoffs.
