Queensland utility Michael Morgan has no problems filling in at centre for the Maroons and believes the added responsibility instilled in him by Coach Kevin Walters can only be a good thing.
Morgan missed out on the starting five-eigth position to the Melbourne Storm’s Cameron Munster.
“I’m not disappointed by it at all. Obviously I have a preference of positions but I’m more than happy to be in this team and for Kev to give me that responsibility and trust me with that role,” Morgan told the Big Sports Breakfast on Friday.
“I see that as a positive and more than happy to be here.”
Morgan confirmed he would play on the left side of the field despite Will Chambers playing on the left for the Storm and for the Maroons recently.
“Will used to play on the right a lot beside Cooper (Cronk) – I think that makes sense for him to go back there.”
