Former Queensland prop Darryl Brohman says no Johnathan Thurston is no problem for the Maroons as they look to secure the 2017 State of Origin series tonight at Suncorp Stadium in the decider.
Writing for oddschecker.com.au, Brohman believes the Maroons have momentum heading into the blockbuster.
“A lot of people are saying this one is pretty straightforward because of what happened in game 1 at Suncorp when Johnathan Thurston was missing – I think there’s more to it than that,” Brohman said.
“The Maroons are a vastly different side to the one that lost game 1 here (Brisbane) six weeks ago. Sure, there’s still no JT, but I think QLD have the personnel to deal with it this time.
“They’re also carrying all the momentum into this game after their sparkling performance in the second half of Game 2 at ANZ. Oh, and one more thing, the Blues haven’t won a State of Origin decider since 2005 – go figure!”
