How beautiful is this and how great is rugby league when it can give back in such a way.

Trent Hodkinson may not have had the greatest season but that pales in comparison to the fact that this young lady has terminal Ewing sarcoma – a cancer found in the bones or soft tissue.

There is a good chance Hannah may not see out the year so her school, Kurri Kurri High, brought her formal forward so she can be there.

Her date was none other than Hodkinson.

The NRL star rode in the backseat with Hannah, held her hand as she walked in and even cut cake at the event in front of everyone else in Hannah’s year.
