Target performing-enhancing drugs, not party drugs: James Graham

Highly respected Canterbury Bulldogs captain James Graham says players using performing enhancing drugs – not party drugs – should be targeted.

His comments come in the wake up Jesse Bromwich, Kevin Proctor, Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Cronulla chairman Damian Keogh all being involved in incidents relating to cocaine over the weekend.

“People are very quick to condemn and judge these people and sort of kangaroo court it – these people have a right to be rehabilitated,” Graham said on Fox Sports’ NRL 360.

“Honestly, the number of Tests and the shift in the number of Tests compared to the ASADA-based Tests to the NRL in-house Tests, it’s crazy.

“For me, the focus should be on the ASADA testing.

“For me, as an opposition player coming up against these guys that are allegedly involved in these instances, to be honest, I don’t really care what they’re up to on the weekend, if they’re out and about till five o’clock in the morning.”
