Melbourne Storm skipper Cameron Smith says the Storm barely worked on their offense in the lead-up to their Perth showdown against South Sydney.
And it worked a treat with the Victorian team coming away with a hard fought 14-6 win.
“It’s important given we’re heading into a hectic part of the season,” Smith.
“There wasn’t too much of a game plan this week. It was all about our defence.
“Tonight we wanted to defend our way to a win and I thought we did that really well.”
The Rabbitohs finished the game without half Adam Reynolds who was taken from the field suffering concussion.
