Premiership-winning Cronulla star Jack Bird has signed a three-year deal with the Brisbane Broncos worth $2.1 million according to The Daily Telegraph.
The Broncos have reportedly won the race to the New South Wales State of Origin star over the Newcastle Knights and the Sharks who were hoping to retain the utility back.
According to the report, Bird made the decision prior to training on Thursday morning at Shark Park.
However Fairfax have counted this report suggesting the Broncos have signed Bird for $4 million over four years.
The lure of playing under legendary coach Wayne Bennett and in his preferred position at five-eigth have seemingly won out for the rising talent.
