He has a shiny new four-year contract that will see him at the Melbourne Storm until the end of 2021 and now Storm coach Craig Bellamy wants unsung hero Dale Finucane in a sky blue jersey.

The veteran coach has earmarked the bustling forward for a spot in this year’s State of Origin and wants Blues selectors to take note.

”Dale definitely has a future at rep level, he is what rep footy is all about to be quite honest,” he said.

”He is very capable of playing a higher level than what he is playing at the moment. To me he is an Origin player and there is no reason why he won’t go on to be an Origin player.

”Hopefully he will get his chance this year because he has started the year in great form again.”
