Bryce Cartwright wants to repay Penrith Panthers coach Anthony Griffin with a huge 2017.
Cartwright was one of the form players in the NRL last season at five-eigth but has moved back to his regular position in the forwards.
“It gives me a lot of confidence that he puts that on me. It made me feel pretty special when he put me at five-eighth last year, that he had the faith in me to do that as well,” Cartwright told AAP.
“So he puts a lot of trust in me. I just have to keep repaying him and play some good footy.”
The Panthers play St George Illawarra at Kogarah on Saturday.
