Soccer’s A-League spruiked a historic change on Tuesday when they announced that “For the first time in Australian sport, the brand of a professional league incorporate the colours of clubs competing as part of the league”.

Only problem is – it simply isn’t true.
A few rugby league supporters were quick to pounce explaining that Super League had done it in 1997.
