Canterbury-Bankstown has announced the signing of State of Origin winger Will Hopoate which will see the former Parramatta and Manly star at Belmore until the end of 2017.

After a long process which saw Hopoate take the Eels to court over a contract dispute, Hopoate has finally secured his future and it’s in the blue and white of the Bulldogs.

“Will is an exciting young player who has already achieved so much in the game,” Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle said.

“Will will be a valuable and experienced acquisition for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and I look forward to him joining the club.” Canterbury Coach Des Hasler added.

The domino effect now means Tim Lafai will almost certainly head to Wollongong and represent St George Illawarra next season.
