Sam Thaiday has signed a new three-year deal at the Brisbane Broncos which will see the forward at Red Hill until the end of 2018.
It puts to bed unrest for Thaiday who only recently publically made it clear that he was frustrated with negotiations.
“In my heart I always wanted to stay at the Broncos,” Thaiday said.
“This has been an ongoing conversation my management and the club has been having all year knowing my contract was finishing.
“We just had to iron out a few things so I could stay.
“This is where I have made my home. I came down as a kid after graduating from high school in November 2002.
“I couldn’t see myself going anywhere else, it was always a done deal.
“I’m happy to be here, and happy to be here for life.”
