Cronulla Sharks’ Jeff Robson knows Johnathan Thurston will be the most dangerous man on the field come Saturday night when Cronulla face North Queensland.
But the veteran playmaker also noted that the Cowboys were far more than just Thurston saying fullback Lachlan Coote and five-eight Michael Morgan made the Cowboys even more dangerous.
“He’s a quality footballer and someone we’re really going to have to do our homework on this week,” Robson said.
“Also Lachlan Coote and [Michael] Morgan are quality players and have been all season so they’re definitely guys that we have to watch.”
The Sharks were brilliant against South Sydney last Sunday, winning the ruck and eventually the match and Robson agreed that the Week Two clash with North Queensland would be won through the middle.
“That will be our first goal (win the ruck) and [that] nullifies what Thurston and Morgan and Coote can do off the back of it.
“We definitely have to defend well and win the ruck, that will be our main goal.”
