SBW Returning to the Roosters in 2017

Code-hopping superstar Sonny Bill Williams is set to return to the Sydney Roosters in 2017 after a handshake agreement with Roosters club supremo Nick Politis.

The details of the new deal are yet be finalised with Williams heavily focused on the Rugby World Cup in England and the Rio Olympics in 2016 where the premiership-winning forward will represent the Kiwis in the rugby sevens.

We revealed way back on July 27th that Williams had been spotted at Allianz Stadium which doubles as the home base of the Roosters.

It is our understanding that SBW will return to the Roosters to finish his career with the option of a one or two year deal ready to go.

A source who formerly worked at the Bondi club has told The81stMinute.com that it’s a done deal.

“He will finish his career with the Roosters,” he said.

“Politis has probably known since he first left that he was coming back.”

Stars Michael Jennings and Sam Moa are both off contract in 2017 and could make way for the returning All Black.

There had been whispers that Canterbury were also a chance of snaring the signature of the man who once famously walked out on the Belmore club to play French rugby.

“Sonny thinks of himself as a Rooster in league,” the source added.

“Nick is too good a mate to him.”
